Hunters are getting ready for the start of archery deer season.
The official kickoff in Wildlife Management Unit 2B which includes most of Allegheny County and part of southern Butler County is tomorrow.
The season then starts across the Commonwealth October 5th and runs through November 29th, including a couple of Sundays.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission estimates that more than 350,000 hunters will hit the woods for archery season.
Last year’s harvest across the state was nearly 155,000 deer, including over 83,000 bucks.
