Pennsylvania American Water crews were busy around Butler on Monday.
The intersection of Polk and McKean streets in the City of Butler- off North Main Street- was closed around 8 a.m. Monday morning as crews worked to fix a break on a 4-inch water main.
Water service was disrupted to six customers but water was back on around 4 p.m.

In Butler Township, crews were making a planned repair to a valve.
The company says some residents on South Duffy Road and Staley Avenue could lose water service intermittently Monday night into Tuesday morning. Crews expect to have this typical maintenance repair completed by early Tuesday morning.
This site is the same location where crews will work on a pipe replacement project later this year. Customers in that area could see additional outages in the future once that project beings. An exact start date has not been set.
