The second snowstorm of the week dumped several inches of snow in Butler County.
The snow fell Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning, in some spots dumping 5.5 inches.
Seven out of nine Butler County public school districts decided to cancel classes for today. A-C Valley and South Butler districts were on a two-hour delay.
There were several community cancellations as well. The Butler Meals on Wheels is not delivering today and all Butler County senior centers are closed.

The snow also caused some early Thursday morning accidents.
Two tractor trailers jackknifed along the Pennsylvania Turnpike between the Butler Valley and Cranberry exits about 4 a.m., initially blocking all eastbound lanes. Backups extended for miles. The turnpike reopened five hours later about 9 a.m. There were no reported injuries.
There were four crashes on Interstate 79 southbound before 6:30 a.m., according to the Butler County 911 Center. No major injuries were reported in those crashes.
Crews also responded to a reported head-on crash on Mars-Evans City Road in Adams Township. It’s unclear if anyone was hurt.
The National Weather Service is forecasting little to no additional snow accumulation expected on Thursday but it will remain cold with highs only in the low 20s.
