Emergency crews were busy Friday morning with the overnight snow causing a number of accidents in Butler County.
An accident on Evans City Road caused significant traffic delays. According to emergency dispatchers, the accident happened just after 6:30 a.m. near the intersection with Reibold Road—which is by the entrance to the Leslie Farm housing plan. Witnesses say a trailer that a vehicle was carrying flipped over. State Police and fire departments responded to the scene.
Also in Forward Township, at least one person was injured in an accident in Portersville. The accident happened around 6:40 this morning on State Route 488 near the intersection with Route 19. The severity of the person’s injury is unknown.
Numerous accidents happened elsewhere around the county. Officials urge drivers to be cautious when driving today and tonight, with temperature remaining at, or below, freezing.
