The demolition of smoke stack towers of a coal-fired energy plant in Indiana County occurred this morning. The stacks and towers have stood for 50 years, and are visible for those travelling along state routes 422 & 119. The power-generating facility in Homer City is being converted to a natural-gas plant. The demolition occurred around 7:30am Saturday morning.
