A member of the Slippery Rock University trustees council has been elected to serve as president of a state trustees association.
Jeff Smith will begin a two-year term on July 1 as president of the Pennsylvania Association of Councils of Trustees, also known as PACT.
PACT is made up of the members of the councils of trustees of the 14 universities in Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education.
Smith also currently serves on Butler City Council and is a former city treasurer.
