Crews are working to learn why some residents in Cranberry Township were dealing with gas leaks yesterday.
The Butler County 911 Center handled more than two dozen calls for gas odor in the Fox Run neighborhood starting around 3 p.m.
Cranberry firefighters and Columbia Gas crews spent the evening going from home to home checking for gas leaks. Fire officials say around 35 homes had their gas shut off after discovering leaks.
A Columbia Gas spokesperson told our news partners at WPXI that technicians are investigating what caused the leaks. At the moment, no gas lines were hit and there are no issues with pressure in the lines.
