A Slippery Rock man has been charged following a collision between a vehicle and a train last week.
According to a criminal complaint filed by State Police, 31-year-old Corey Simon was driving on train tracks near Keister Road in Slippery Rock Township shortly before 9 p.m. on Friday.
The vehicle became stuck on the tracks and Simon allegedly left it there where it was struck by a train and dragged a tenth of a mile. The train was delayed while the truck was removed from the train and towed. This private property is owned by Canadian National Railway Company.
Simon has been charged with felony Causing or Risking a Catastrophe along with other misdemeanors.
