The nationally ranked Slippery Rock football team (#14) fell to PSAC-West foe Seton Hill on Saturday afternoon by a final of 41-38.
Offensively, quarterback Dante Nania threw for 414 yards on 28 completions. He also threw two touchdowns, and one interception. Taishan Tucker was Nania’s favorite receiver on Saturday, finishing with eight receptions for 139 yards and a touchdown. Montour High School product Julian Durden, who is filling in for injured star running back Shamar Greene, also had a great game. He finished the day with 146 yards and three touchdowns.
Defensively, safety Derrick Fulmore lead all Slippery Rock defenders in tackles with seven. He also recorded an interception.
Saturday’s game was the first PSAC-West game on The Rock’s schedule. Slippery Rock now falls to 3-1 on the season.
Next weekend, Slippery Rock will travel to Gannon for another PSAC-West contest. That game can be heard on The Rock Station 97.7FM and on 977rocks.com. Kickoff is set for noon.
