The Slippery Rock University football team beat the visiting Gannon Golden Knights Saturday night by a final of 34-13.
Leading the Rock offensively was senior quarterback Don King III, who threw for 370 yards on 34 completions, in addition to three touchdowns. Running back Shamar Greene also ran for 115 yards, and receivers Marcus Johnson (123 yards,1 touchdown) and Miley Raye (88 yards) caught nine passes each. Defensively, the Rock was led by linebacker Anthony Zappone, who had 12 tackles, one sack, and one interception.
