Some retailers opened their stores before the Thanksgiving dinner was even eaten.
But does “Black Friday” still hold the same luster as in years past?
Butler County Community College Business Professor Dr. Lou Sabina says yes.
“I think the crowds have declined, but the people that go…are spending more money,” Sabina said.
He says now, it’s all about having a strategy, rather than just visiting one store and hoping to score a deal.
According to research he’s done, the items with the biggest deals this year are flat screen televisions and Apple Macbook computers. He suggests visiting BFads.net, which compiles where and when to get the best deals.
