A Sheetz in Shippensburg will become the first convenience store in the state to sell wine.
The store in Cumberland County will begin selling takeout wine Tuesday under the new state liquor law that took effect in August.
Speaker of the state House Mike Turzai, a longtime proponent of liquor-store privatization, will join other state officials and Sheetz Board Director Louie Sheetz at 11 am. to recognize the first official wine sale.
No word if other Sheetz locations will begin to sell wine.
