The public hearing to discuss plans by Sheetz to sell alcohol at another one of its stores in Butler Township has been delayed.
Officials with the gas station and convenience store were unable to attend Monday’s Butler Township meeting and requested an extension for the hearing to transfer a liquor license to their store on Evans City Road (Rt. 68) to allow for the sale of beer and wine.
That new hearing date is set for Monday, April 15 at 7 p.m. at the Butler Township Municipal Building. The license would be purchased from an owner in Evans City Borough and brought into Butler Township.
No matter the result of next month’s hearing, the move will still need approval from the state Liquor Control Board.
