Sheetz is one step closer to selling alcohol at one of their stores in Butler Township.
The Butler Township commissioners approved a resolution Monday that would allow the gas station and convenience store to obtain a liquor license.
Sheetz plans to buy a license from an owner in Center Township and transfer it into Butler. The license would allow for the sale of beer and wine at the Butler Township store located at the intersection of Center and Morton avenues. No new construction is planned for the store if the license request is granted.
Sheetz will now submit their application to the Liquor Control Board, who makes the final decision.
