A six-year-old girl from nearby Shaler Township has died after being hit by a drunk driver Saturday night.
According to reports, the girl and an adult were walking along Locust Ridge Drive just after 10:30pm Saturday when a car went off the roadway and hit them.
The six-year-old was then rushed to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she was pronounced dead at 2:15am Sunday morning. Her identity has not been released.
Officials say that the driver, 20-year-old Travis Grayson of Millvale, faces numerous charges including homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, and involuntary manslaughter.
