A Shaler man with reported connections to the Boy Scouts has been arrested, accused of having child pornography.
Christopher Sokiera, 41, is accused of possessing more than 90 pornographic images of children.
According to our news partners at WPXI-TV, Sokiera is a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America’s Order of the Arrow and is also a chapter adviser.
Investigators say Sokiera told them he recently attended an overnight camping trip with adults and children and had another one planned for this weekend. He said he has never inappropriately touched a child.
