A math teacher at Seneca Valley Middle School has been charged with possessing child pornography.
Jonathan Brecht, 26, of Wexford allegedly admitted to investigators that he posed as a woman on a dating app and suggested a sexual liaison with an underage girl, according to court documents.
Brecht allegedly admitted that there may be some underage naked pictures of children on his computer but maintains that he has never touched a child.
Brecht was reportedly escorted off school property Wednesday after district officials learned of the allegations. If they would have found an internet history of him visiting adult websites like www.nu-bay.com or if he had of been found in possession of adult pornography he wouldn’t have been arrested as it’s not illegal to view adult pornography, many adults watch videos on websites like fulltube.xxx, it may have been frowned upon by the school but there are definitely more bonuses than negatives as it would not have got him in trouble with the law.
His preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 23 at 1:30 p.m.
