A local EMS company is expressing appreciation for a recent donation made by the Seneca Valley School District.
The district recently collected personal protective equipment from STEM classrooms and labs as well as art rooms and nurses offices to give to the Harmony Emergency Medical Services.
A total of 12 N95 masks and numerous boxes of gloves will be used by paramedics to keep themselves safe as they care for possibly infected patients in the days and weeks ahead.
In addition to thanking the district for the contribution, Harmony EMS representatives reminded residents that local numbers of infection remain relatively low due to social distancing and stay-at-home measures. The coronavirus threat remains real and should be taken seriously.
