Students in the Seneca Valley School District could continue to receive instruction on snow days under a new plan to be tested this year.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education has given approval to the district to hold a Flexible Instruction Day on Friday February 12th. Students will not attend school on this day but it will count toward the number of instruction days and hours required by law.
Students will complete work from home assigned by the teacher in a combination of online and offline assignments depending on subject and grade level. Students will have 10 days to turn in the work assigned on a Flexible Instruction Day.
School officials are texting this program at the request of parents and more information will be available closer to February.
