The Seneca Valley Band has again received top honors following a trip last weekend to the festivities surrounding the Kentucky Derby.

Seneca’s Roaring Raider Band appeared in the 62^nd annual Pegasus Parade and was awarded the Grand Prize in the Basil Caummisar Battle of the Bands competition.

This is the third year Seneca’s band has participated in this parade and the third time they have been named Grand Champions starting in 2007 and continuing in 2013.

This year’s parade featured the theme of Louisville on the Move and included 11 marching bands as well as over 100 total units.
