Seneca Valley will play Central Catholic tonight for the WPIAL 6-A championship. The game begins at 8pm at Heinz Field. The game can be heard at msasports.net. Central Catholic defeated Seneca Valley 42-14 earlier this season.
Four other WPIAL championship games are being played at Heinz Field today.
Aliquippa and Beaver Falls meet in the 3-A title game at 11am.
West Allegheny and McKeesport play for the 5-A championship at 2pm.
New Castle and Thomas Jefferson will kick-off the 4-A title game at 5pm.
College Football Saturday:
Penn State will visit Rutgers. Kick-off is 8pm. Pre-game on WBUT 1050am is 6:30pm.
Pitt is hosting Duke at Heinz Field. Kick-off is 3pm.
Another team took a hit in their attempt to reach the College Football Playoff. Louisville lost to Houston 36-10 last night. The Cardinals entered the game ranked #3, and were fifth in the College Football Playoff rankings.
In Division II playoffs: IUP will travel to Fairmont State for a noon kick-off. The winner will play California next week.
Three western Pennsylvania teams are participating in Division III bowls this weekend at the University of Pa. Tonight–Washington & Jefferson will play Brockport at 8:15pm. Westminster will face Utica Saturday at 11am. Carnegie Mellon will meet Salisbury at 11am Sunday. All of the teams are 7-3 this season, except W & J who are 8-2.
