Pennsylvania Senator-Elect Joe Pittman will be formally sworn into office on Monday.
The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. in the Senate Chamber of the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg.
Pittman won a special election in May to complete the un-expired term of Senator Don White of the 41st District, who stepped down in February after 18 years of service.
Pittman served as White’s Chief of Staff throughout his tenure in office. He was born and raised in Indiana County.
“Sen. White always made it abundantly clear to me that the constituents in the 41st District are our top priority,” Pittman said. “I’m very relieved that I’m able to enter this office with so much of the staff and infrastructure in place that Sen. White had during his tenure.”
The 41st Senatorial District includes all of Armstrong and Indiana counties, and parts of Butler and Westmoreland counties.
Butler County: (Allegheny, Buffalo, Clearfield, Clinton, Concord, Donegal, Fairview, Jefferson, Middlesex, Oakland, Parker, Summit, Venango, Washington and Winfield townships and the boroughs of Bruin, Cherry Valley, Chicora, East Butler, Eau Claire, Fairview, Karns City, Petrolia and Saxonburg)
