Senator Bob Casey is looking for help from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to help deal with the ongoing bird flu.
Casey joined eight other senators who sent at letter to the USDA last week. Specifically, they are looking for more answers on the highly pathogenic avian flu, which has led to the deaths of millions of birds across the country.
The senators believe the USDA could help with funding to help lessen the effects of the bird flu.
The USDA confirmed earlier this week that the first outbreak of the avian flu happened in Lancaster County.
