Senator Bob Casey is urging the Food and Drug Administration to take action after a baby formula recall.
Retailers are reporting a shortage of baby formula less than two months after a major recall from Abbott Nutrition. One research firm found that nearly 30 percent of popular baby formulas could be sold out at stores.
Casey says he wants answers from the FDA after the agency reportedly had a delayed response in announcing the recall. He’s also asking what action the FDA is considering to help curb the shortage of formula.
