A section of I-80 had to be shut down this morning due to a multiple vehicle accident.
According to KDKA , I-80 westbound is closed between Exit 29 (Barkeyville, Route 8) in Venango County and Exit 19B (Interstate 79, interchange) in Mercer County. It is unclear at this point how many vehicles were involved or if anybody was injured. PennDOT expects to have the road re-opened by 6:30 p.m.
On I-80 in Clarion, Jefferson, Venango and Mercer counties, a temporary speed reduction to 45 mph is in effect in both the eastbound and westbound lanes.
