There are now two candidates in the Democratic primary for the 16th Congressional District after an Erie County woman entered the race yesterday.
Kristy Gnibus is a 35-year-old school teacher in Millcreek Township and she announced her candidacy to seek the seat currently held by Republican Mike Kelly.
She said her experiences as a mother and cancer survivor are reasons she is running for Congress.
Gnibus joins Adams Township resident Daniel Smith as candidates in the Democratic primary for the 2020 election.
