The second annual “Men Who Cook” event co-sponsored by WISR 680 AM and Armstrong was another success.
Many guests enjoyed a variety of entrees, soups and desserts cooked by men from the Butler community on Saturday, Feb. 17.
Guests then had an opportunity to vote for the food they enjoyed the most, with Larry Sassone from the Butler BlueSox and Jimmy Chiprean receiving special recognition. Chiprean took home the Golden Fork, and Sassone was the winner of the Chef of Tips/ “Money Talks” Fork . The Golden Fork was based on the highest number of votes, while the “Money Talks” Fork was awarded for earning the most tips at the event.
Proceeds benefited the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk, Armstrong’s Breaking Bread Initiative and the St. Vincent de Paul food bank.
