Gun owners and firearms rights advocates will once again gather this weekend in Butler.
“We need to have a national re-awakening as to what our rights actually are and the importance of protecting them,” Kim Stolfer, president and chair of Firearms Owners Against Crime, said. ”
Stolfer says a Second Amendment Rally is scheduled for Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m. to noon at Diamond Park across from the Butler County Courthouse.
This is the fourth consecutive year the group has met in Butler to learn about actions being taken to preserve gun ownership rights. The day will include proclamations from Butler City Mayor Tom Donaldson and Butler County Commissioner Leslie Osche, as well as a variety of speakers including U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, Butler County Sheriff Mike Slupe and a senior board member of the NRA.
The public is welcome to attend this free event.
