The field of candidates to be the next president of Slippery Rock University has been narrowed from nine to three.
Those three candidates are Marsha Krotseng, Bruce Murphy, and Amir Mohammadi. Krotseng is currently the President of Bluefield State College in Bluefield, West Virginia. Murphy is the President of Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Mohammadi is currently employed at SRU as the vice president for finance, administration, and advancement services.
The final candidates will visit campus next week for public interviews with students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and community members. Feedback is welcome.
The search committee expects to send the names of two candidates to the Council of Trustees for approval the following week. Those names will then be forwarded to the PA State System of Higher Education board of governors who will do an additional interview before making a final selection.
