The committee tasked with finding the next president of Slippery Rock University will hire an agency to help with their search.
According to Jeff Smith, Chair of the SRU Presidential Search Committee, a company called AGB Search will assist the committee with finding a replacement for the retiring Dr. Cheryl Norton.
Experienced consultants from the agency will lead meetings, interface with candidates, and guide the committee through the steps of the search. AGB Search was founded in 2010 by The Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges and is based in Washington, DC.
Norton, who was appointed the 16th president of the University in 2012 and the first woman president, is set to retire in July.
