The South Butler County School District is continuing their search efforts for a new assistant superintendent.
The district’s school board recently announced that they plan on appointing someone to the vacant position by Wednesday, October 7th. District officials say that there have been over 20 applicants for the position.
David Zupsic, the former district assistant superintendent, was promoted to the top position at South Butler last month. He began his new role this past Tuesday.
Zupsic replaces the former Michael Leitera, who is now the superintendent at Mohawk.
