There’s still time to sign up to attend a conference on what do to during a school shooting.
The Saxonburg Borough Police Department is sponsoring the program titled Active Shooter Incidents, Safe Schools and Healthy Students.
The presentation will be held Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cooper Hall on Rebecca Street in Saxonburg.
Keynote speaker of the event is Lt. Col. Dave Grossman who is a retired West Point Psychology Professor and Army Ranger. He is thought to be one of the world’s leading experts on interpersonal aggression and violence and has trained professionals, police and first responders on what to do during the horrific event of a school shooting.
The cost to attend the program is $85 per person, which includes lunch. If you would like to attend, call Linda at the Saxonburg Borough at 724-352-1400 ext. 221 or stop by Cooper Hall before the program Wednesday.
