A Saxonburg woman will face charges after allegedly driving close to 40 miles an hour over the speed limit on Route 28 yesterday.
According to the Kittanning State Police, an unidentified 23-year-old woman was traveling 91 miles an hour on Route 28 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County just after 1am. The posted speed limit for the highway is 55pm.
After being pulled over, authorities determined that the driver was under the influence of both alcohol and drugs. She was taken into custody for DUI.
The driver will face charges that are pending blood results.
