Saxonburg will be paving several streets this fall, among other borough renovations and improvements.
Recently, the borough awarded a bid to Wiest Asphalting for nearly $60,000 to pave three streets: North Isabella Street, Beatty Street, and the public portion of Carol Drive. The project will start in late September.
In addition to paving, Saxonburg is discussing possible joint paving projects with neighboring Jefferson Township.
There is also a public hearing scheduled for next month (August 5). Officials will be discussing a possible zoning change for six acres of land off Carol Drive. These discussions will determine if the landowner will be able to change the zoning so they can build multi-family structures on the land.
