Portions of Main Street in Saxonburg will be shut down this weekend as the 34th edition of the Festival of the Arts hits the streets.
Activities will begin Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and continue through 5 p.m. Sunday. Event coordinator Scott Herbst says people will have a variety of activities to choose from.
“As always, there will be great craft and food vendors,” Herbst said. “We’ll also have a civil war reenactment, and on Saturday we’ll have the Rodfathers on Main Street for a car cruise.”
The event is always well-attended Herbst said, even when the weather doesn’t cooperate.
“Even last year with the tropical storm the moved through, we had quite a few people attend on the first day,” Herbst said.
There will also be a wide range of music, from rock bands to live performances of the polka. This event will also include a quilt show at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church
