With the game tied at 2 going into the bottom of the 9th inning last night, first baseman Josh Bell hit a three run walk-off home run to give the Pittsburgh Pirates a 5-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Cardinals closer Seung Hwan Oh got the loss and Pirates closer Felipe Rivero got the win. With the win the Pirates record is now 43-47 while the loss for the Cardinals puts their record at 43-46. The Butler Blue Sox’s game last night at Champion City Kings was rescheduled to today as a part of a double-header. Game one in Champion City will start at 5:30 P.M. and the second game will start shortly after the conclusion of game one. The Blue Sox’s are currently only a half game behind Champion City in the divisional standings. With a sweep of tonight’s doubleheader, the Blue Sox’s could be leading their division. The Blue Sox’s are currently on a four game winning streak as Champion City is on a two game losing streak.
