A family of three will be spending the Easter holiday with family after their Butler City home was damaged by fire early Saturday morning.
Authorities say that the fire started around 9am at the two story home on Virginia Avenue, located just off of Chestnut Street.
Officials say that the fire was caused by a basement furnace, which was destroyed. A mother and her son were home at the time of the fire.
Crews expect that the family can move back into the rental home in approximately one week.
