The sale of the former Oakland Township Elementary School was finalized by a judge Wednesday afternoon.
The Butler Area School Board approved the sale to Woodbine Oaks LP owned by businessman Monty Edgar for just over $360,000 back in June. However, the sale had to be approved by Judge S. Michael Yeager before it became official.
Edgar’s plans for the facility are unknown at this time. He is the owner of the Woodbine Oaks Trailer Park, which sits next door to the school, and the owner of Edgar Electric.
The sale price was the average of two appraisals that the district had done of the property. Oakland School was one of four that the district closed following a consolidation last year.
