A date has been set for a hearing before a judge for the sale of the former Broad Street Elementary School in the City of Butler.
A hearing before Butler County Common Pleas Court Judge S. Michael Yeager will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.
The Butler Area School Board agreed to sell the consolidated facility to The ARC of Butler County for $400,000 in August. The judge does have the ability to consider alternative offers for the property received at the Nov. 30 hearing.
The ARC has a different hearing scheduled before Butler City Council Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. to petition for conditional use exceptions to current zoning ordinances. At least three different Butler City council members have said in the past they would be hesitant to make special accommodations for a non-profit buyer.
