Pennsylvania’s speaker of the house is laying out the next steps in his effort to break partisan gridlock.
Speaker Mark Rozzi embarked on a listening tour across Pennsylvania the last couple of weeks. He says his goal is to put a new set of rules for the House.
“When we go back to Harrisburg, we are going to work on the rules of the House. There is nothing more important to me than getting the House back up and running. But, like I’ve said, it’s going to be something that the people can be proud of, not the politicians,” Rozzi said.
The House has not been in session, nor set any rules since being sworn-in back in early January.
The tour included stops in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Wilkes Barre, and State College. Rozzi says he appreciated the input from the public and representatives from different organizations.
