A portion of Route 8 in northern Butler County is shut down this morning after an accident.
The two vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Route 8 and Branchton Road around 6 a.m.
Dispatchers say the accident involved a dump truck and a passenger vehicle. A witness told our newsroom that there appeared to be heavy damage.
Route 8 is shut down at Route 108 in Slippery Rock Township.
Traffic delays are expected.
