At least one person died and another was seriously injured as a result of a crash involving a motorcycle Friday afternoon in Slippery Rock Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center around 4 p.m. Friday for the collision between a car and motorcycle on Route 8 North near the intersection with Branchton Road.
Crews from Slippery Rock were among those responding to find two people unresponsive including a male who was not moving. A short time later one of the EMS units was canceled with a request to notify the coroner.
The status of the other motorist is not known at this time. Traffic was shut down on Route 8 southbound for a time to allow crews access to the scene.
