Traffic is backed up as a result of an accident earlier today on Route 422.
The call came into the Butler County 911 center shortly before noon for the crash on 422 westbound between Route 8 and Mercer Road overpass in Butler Township.
Early reports have at least one vehicle involved and possibly flipped over. The extent of injuries is unknown at this time.
Expect traffic delays while emergency crews remain on the scene.
