A major roadway reopened after several accidents closed the road this morning.
Just after 9:30 am a call from the Butler County 911 center came in to shut down Route 28 in both directions starting at the Butler-Freeport exit (exit 17) after multiple crashes.
Details on the crashes have not been made available, the road was cloased for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
