To kick off the 59th annual North Washington Rodeo, which begins Tuesday, a parade will be held tonight in northern Butler County.
The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday and ends with festivities at the rodeo arena on Oneida Valley Road (Route 38) in Petrolia.
The 2018 Rodeo Queen will be introduced and the evening will also include marching units, fire trucks, scouts and floats as well as a bonfire and marshmallows for roasting in the arena.
The rodeo runs from Tuesday through Saturday and is sanctioned by the International Professional Rodeo Association. Proceeds benefit the North Washington Volunteer Fire Department.
