The Colorado Rockies defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 13-3 Sunday at Coors Field in Denver. The Rockies took two of three games in their series. Pirates starting pitcher Ivan Nova allowed seven earned runs on nine hits over five innings. It was the most earned runs he has allowed in two years. The loss dropped the Bucs back under .500 at 49-50 they are three games out of first place. The Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs are now tied for first place in the National League Central Division.
