The Slippery Rock University men’s basketball team won its ninth game in a row with a 77-57 victory over Mercyhurst Wednesday at Morrow Field House. The Rock improved to 11-2 overall and are now 5-2 in PSAC games. The Rock can tie for the fourth-longest streak in school history Saturday when they visit California for a 3pm tip-off. The Rock women also topped Mercyhurst 60-57 Wednesday. Brooke Hinderliter led The Rock with 14 points. LeeAnn Gibson netted eight points, six rebounds and a block. SRU improved to 7-5 overall, but are now 5-2 in the PSAC. They play Cal at 1pm Saturday.
