Less than a week after qualifying to be on the ballot, a Republican candidate for governor has decided to drop out.
Pittsburgh-based attorney Jason Richey announced late last week that he is suspending his campaign.
Richey cited the large field of candidates and said “this is the right thing to do.” He threw his support behind former U.S. attorney Bill McSwain.
The field now sits at nine candidates who are seeking the Republican nomination.
