Crews responded to the scene of a structure fire Thursday afternoon in the City of Butler.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just after 6:30 p.m. for a house fire in the 200 block of West Wayne Street.
City crews were joined by those from Butler Township, the VA, and Butler Ambulance to find a working fire with smoke coming from a two-story home. They requested for West Penn Power to remotely disconnect electricity as well as send a technician to the scene.
The extent of damage is unknown at this time but no one is believed to have been injured. The Red Cross was notified to assist four adults and two dogs who were not able to remain in the home.
