New numbers show that a large number of community college students struggle to obtain a bachelor degree in a timely fashion.
The report was done by the Community College Research Center and it found that only 17 percent of community college transfer students in Pennsylvania go on to earn a bachelor degree in six years.
The study also found that 8 in 10 community college students aspire to earn a four-year degree.
Despite the low-rate, Pennsylvania ranks 11th in the country for the highest number of community college students who go on to obtain a bachelor degree.
